The Circlet of Morpheus was a Atlantean artifact that had been used by Atlanean priests as a meditative aid to reach the dream-state, allowing its bearer to gain deeper insight. The Circlet was possessed by Attuma before it was exchanged to Doctor Doom for creating the Lemurian clone Noram. Doom used the Circlet to trap Superman in order to glean to probe his unconscious mind.
