Alfred Pennyworth is Bruce Wayne's butler, aide-de-camp, and surrogate parent.
History[]
Alfred has been the Wayne family butler all of Bruce's life, and had helped his master establish his superhero career as Batman from the beginning. In addition he was Bruce's legal guardian following the deaths of his parents.
