Doctor Octopus, real name Dr. Otto Octavius, is an intelligent criminal who utilizes four powerful, mechanical appendages.
History[]
Otto Octavius was a brilliant scientist until an accident with a set of highly advanced mechanical arms that he designed were grafted into his body. The accident also transformed the scientist to a life of crime, in which he became known as Doctor Octopus. Since then, he became the frequent enemy of Spider-Man.
Doctor Octopus, alongside with Tombstone and Hammerhead, worked for the Kingpin in capturing and interrogating Spider-Man for information regarding to Superman. However, shortly later, Superman appear before them. Doctor Octopus fought Spider-Man, who was freed by the Man of Steel, and was then subdued by Superman. He was able to escape when the Kingpin provided a distraction for Superman.[1]
Doctor Octopus later joins the Sinister Six in an attempt to steal the Lexo-Skel 3000, and battles the Justice League; which Doctor Octopus fought and was beaten by Aquaman and Spider-Man.[2]
