Six Musketeers (formerly)
The Flash, real name Wally West, was one of the founding members of the Justice League.
The precise circumstances of the incident in which Wally West gained his powers have never been fully revealed. As a child, Wally grew up in Smallville, Kansas, where he became close friends with Clark Kent, Victor Stone, Arthur Curry, Oliver Queen, and Lex Luthor. These six friends became known as the so-called "Six Musketeers" and had several misadventures. Wally used his ability and taken a brief secret identity known as "The Blur".
Years later, Wally moved to Metropolis and attended Metropolis University. He would soon reunited with his old friends from Smallville and have changed his superhero identity to the Flash. Along with several heroes, Flash was among the heroes that aided Superman and the X-Men against the Friends of Humanity, Brainiac Mark VI, and Juggernaut. In the aftermath of mutantkind exposed to the public, Flash joined the Justice League.
Powers and abilities
Flash has the ability to move and react at incredible speeds, many orders of magnitude greater than those of ordinary humans, even surpassing Superman, who is capable of going over Mach 6.
Wally West was described by Clark Kent and Alison Blaire as "a nicer version of Pietro". He frequently faces even the gravest threats with a flippant remark, often showing some underestimation of the true danger of the situation. He is also somewhat given to flirtatious behavior around members of the opposite sex. However, his heroism and bravery are beyond question, he's very loyal to his friends and clearly cares very much for the people he protects.
In DC Comics continuity, Wallace "Wally" West is the third person to take up the mantle of the "Flash". Jay Garrick was the first, Barry Allen the second, and Bart Allen was (albeit briefly) the fourth. Wally would start his career as a sidekick to his uncle Barry, the Flash at the time, after suffering the same accident that gave Barry his powers, taking on the identity of Kid Flash. Following Barry's death, Wally would take on his mantle and become the third Flash.
The Last Son version of the Flash is mostly based on his DCAU and Smallville incarnation. His first alias of "The Blur" is also a nod to Smallville, being the alias used by Clark Kent before embracing his destiny as Superman.
