Noram is the clone of Namor and ruler of Lemuria.

History[]

Attuma, with scientific assistance from Doctor Doom and the Lemurians, created Noram alongside with his brother Garth to be as a living weapon against Namor. Attuma captured a genetic research team led by Mary Storm in Antarctica and forced them (unaware) in creating Noram. As Attuma introduced Noram to his "father" Namor, the Fantastic Four, X-Force and Justice League, Noram betrayed Attuma and led the Lemurians in turning against him and desiring to rule Atlantis as well, but his first attempt was defeated when Namor deduced that Noram would be unable to remain out of contact with water for the same length of time as Namor did as he lacked Namor's experience and endurance even if he was physically as old as his template. Like Namor's affections for the Invisible Woman, Noram also hold an interest for Power Girl much to her displeasure.

Powers and Abilities[]

As half-Atlantean, Noram possesses a fully amphibious physiology suited for extreme undersea pressures, superhuman strength, speed, agility, durability and longevity. He also has a limited capacity to generate electric pulses, akin to an electric eel. However, due to his dual nature, he is afflicted with a condition similar to bipolar mood-disorder; constant exposure to the oxygen-enriched water of Atlantis puts him in a manic state and constant exposure to the surface atmosphere does the opposite, depressing him. While Namor has built up his tolerance for both through prolonged training and exposure, Noram lacks this tolerance, resulting in him being unable to maintain his strength on the surface for as long as Namor can.
